The Moto Helmets Plus Motorcycle Safety Scholarship

Learning proper motorcycle safety, both with the proper gear (motorcycle helmets, apparel, etc.) and on the road (lane changes, what to do in the event of road debris, statistics, etc.) can mean the difference between life and death. By informing the public on motorcycle safety we hope to prevent more accidents from happening and better protect riders in the event of one.

Motorcycle Safety Scholarship

Articles are a terrific way to display information about motorcycle safety as they are interesting and easily shareable. At Moto Helmets Plus our goal is to try and keep you as safe as possible on the road through the proper gear and information. Your submitted motorcycle helmet article may inform thousands of Americans on motorcycle safety and can possibly land you a $400 scholarship + a free motorcycle helmet if we choose your article!

Our challenge to you: Create an article on motorcycle safety of at least 1000 words (the more the better). Below are a few ideas that you can include in your article, however we recommend browsing the internet for more – be creative!

  • Motorcycle helmet safety, including:
    • Proper sizing
    • How to put your helmet on
    • Safety certifications (DOT, ECE, etc.)
    • How long does a helmet last?
  • Types of motorcycle gear and accessories, including:
    • Safest materials to wear
    • How should the gear fit
    • Winter riding vs. Summer riding
    • Choosing the proper gloves
  • Top 5 rules of the road to stay safe while riding your motorcycle
  • Lane splitting – the positives and negatives
  • Motorcycle etiquette
  • Statistics on motorcycle accidents that may include
    • Wearing proper gear / motorcycle helmet
    • Not wearing proper gear
    • Amount of people that get involved in accidents each year

How to enter:
Simply send us an email with your original motorcycle helmet article to [email protected] and include the following information:

  • Full name, address, and phone number
  • Name of college or trade school planning to attend / currently attending
  • Which semester you plan on attending
  • If under 18, please provide us with the legal guardians contact information

Please note: Articles must be 100% original and will be checked for plagiarism. If any part of the article is plagiarized it will not be accepted. 

Deadline:
Moto Helmets Plus will accept original articles from January 01, 2020 through March 31, 2021 (11:59 p.m. PST). The winner will be announced April 15, 2021 and will receive a $400 scholarship + free motorcycle helmet from our website.

Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Anyone that has been accepted to a college or trade school
  • Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the United States
